The central nerve-system controls every function in the human body, both voluntary (like walking) and involuntary (like breathing). Like an intricate telephone network, nerves connect all of the body's cells to the brain.

The majority of these nerve fibres collect into groups or pathways and they form the spinal cord and brain.

The brain then communicates with the whole body along this nerve network, so if any of the signals are interfered with, then parts of your body may not get the proper messages and will usually not function optimally.

To protect the spinal chord, there are 24 movable bones called vertebrae. When these bones become misaligned (or subluxated) the transmission of messages along the nerve pathways to and from the brain are affected.

Vertebral subluxation can be viewed as the body's best adaptation to our increasing pace of life. When this continues without respite, this nerve-system interference can affect the functioning of your organs, which may lead to long-term health problems.

The most common causes are

  1. physical stressors          -  poor postures or sports injuries.

  2. biochemical stressors   -  what we do or don't put into our bodies

  3. emotional stressors       -  unrealistic work or personal demands,

  4.                                                    poor relationships, lack of rest time.

Because of this intimate relationship between the spine and the nerve-system, Chiropractors believe that identifying and restoring optimal spinal function is crucial to long term well being.

Chiropractic care can improve your health by reducing interference to the sensitive nerve tissues and allowing your body to better communicate and co-ordinate all of its functions.

The results of a system free of interference, are nothing short of amazing!
